About our air conditioning repair in Nuneham Courtenay
For breakdowns that cannot wait, there’s a 24/7 emergency line, such as a server room overheating or water coming through a ceiling. Call 07833 053749 and tell us the make, the symptoms and any error code, and we’ll agree the next steps. Typical jobs include a system that won’t switch on and ice on the pipework or the coil, on ceiling cassettes, heat pumps and ducted systems.
Around Nuneham Courtenay, outdoor units often sit close to gardens and hedges, so leaves, seeds and cobwebs on the coil are worth checking first.
For a fault on a system that may still be under warranty, send us the make, model and installation date. We will explain how the manufacturer’s terms are likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Honest limits
To be straight with you, some problems need a different answer:
- An R22 system that has lost its refrigerant
- A room that overheats because of the building, such as a lack of shading or ventilation (the system may need help, not a repair)
- A discontinued model with no parts available
Not sure which it is? You can ring us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form and we’ll tell you honestly.
What the work covers

Aftercare tips
Here’s the after-treatment advice, short and simple:
- Leave space around the outdoor unit
- Check the settings and the remote’s batteries first
- If there’s ice on the pipes, switch off and let it melt
The repair is written up: what was wrong, what was replaced and any refrigerant work. Refrigerant work goes into the F-Gas records and it belongs with the system’s paperwork.
Filter cleaning is the simplest prevention there is. Clogged filters starve the unit of air, and that can cause ice, drips and poor performance and the manual shows how to clean them.
Rented and managed buildings
For anyone managing more than one building, we can quote and plan the work across all of them. Every address has its own paperwork, so the files stay tidy.
Records are where property maintenance often slips. Each visit produces a dated record, plus the F-Gas records where refrigerant is involved, ready for a tenant, a buyer or an inspection.

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Send a few details and photos, and we reply the same working day.
Will you work on another installer’s system?
Yes. Systems fitted by other companies are fine, on all the main brands. Tell us the make and model and send any paperwork you have.
Which accreditations do you hold?

How long does the work take?
It depends on the job, but most of the time it takes a single visit for many faults, while some repairs need a second visit once parts arrive. We’ll confirm it with the quote.
Why is there ice on my air conditioning pipes?
Ice is a symptom of low airflow or low refrigerant. Blocked filters, a failing fan or a leak are the common causes. Turn it off, let the ice melt and give us a ring on 07833 053749 or email us.
How much does an air conditioning repair cost?
It starts with a diagnosis call-out from £75 + VAT, and then you get a fixed price for the repair. Nothing goes ahead without your agreement.
How the visit works
Anything involving refrigerant is handled by F-Gas qualified engineers, as the law requires, while the electrical side is covered by our NICEIC approval. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. On site, it takes an hour or two to diagnose most faults, with the repair time depending on what we find. We agree a date with you and plan the visit to Nuneham Courtenay so we arrive with what’s needed.
- We start with what the unit is doing, the make and any code.
- The engineer diagnoses the fault on site, testing rather than guessing.
- You get the cause explained and a fixed price for the repair.
- With your go-ahead, we carry out the repair, recording any refrigerant work.
- We test the system in operation and leave you a note of the fault and the fix.
How to prepare
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Dig out any previous service or F-Gas records
- Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
