Air conditioning repair in Minster Lovell
Faults on all the leading makes are part of our everyday work, from Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin and Fujitsu to Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. It does not matter who installed it and the make and model help us prepare. We’re often asked to deal with a system that won’t switch on and ice forming on the indoor unit or pipes, across VRF systems, heat pumps and ceiling cassettes.
Outdoor units in a place like Minster Lovell can be near hedges and fields, and a coil clogged with leaves or seeds is a common cause of weak cooling.
Warranty periods vary by brand and by product. For instance, Daikin’s standard warranty on split air conditioning is 2 years, and its longer extensions apply to its air-to-water units only. For any other brand, we explain the manufacturer’s terms on your quote.

How it works
Our engineers bring the tools, gauges and access equipment the job needs. All we ask is clear access to the units, or to where they’ll go, and to the consumer unit. On site, the work takes an hour or two to diagnose most faults, with the repair time depending on what we find. Photos of the existing unit help with repairs and servicing in Minster Lovell.
- Diagnosis comes first: codes, electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant.
- Next, a plain explanation and a fixed price.
- Where a repair does not make sense, you will hear it from us, with the alternatives.
- Then the fix, with leaks repaired before any refrigerant is added.
- The sign-off: the system tested in operation and the work recorded.
Before we arrive
- Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
- Let us know where the consumer unit is
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
Getting a quote
Here’s what helps us quote: where the property is and what kind of building it is, a few pictures, the make and model of any existing system and any symptoms, from error codes to drips. Once you have those, give us a ring on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier.

FAQs for Minster Lovell
Is Minster Lovell in your area for air conditioning repair?
Yes, Minster Lovell is within the area we cover. To start, phone 07833 053749 or email us with a few pictures.
Do you cover Minster Lovell for emergency air conditioning repairs?

How quickly will you reply?
You’ll hear from us the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.
Is it legal to repair an R410A system?
Yes. Repairing and recharging existing R410A systems is still legal. R410A is getting scarcer and dearer to buy as the GB phase-down tightens and we talk through repair against replacement for older systems.
Whose job is it to check the system for leaks?
The F-gas rules share it between the equipment’s operator and the engineers who work on it. The interval depends on the refrigerant charge, measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent: at least yearly for 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months for 50 to under 500 tCO2e.
Why use an F-Gas certified company?
Anyone installing, repairing or servicing the refrigerant side must be qualified, and their company certified. It’s worth checking before booking and we’ll gladly show you ours.
Can you repair an R22 air conditioning system?
Servicing with new R22 isn’t allowed, because it depletes the ozone layer. A fault that does not involve the refrigerant may still be repairable, depending on parts, but a leak normally makes replacement the sensible route. We’ll set out the options and quote for a replacement where it makes sense.
Looking after it afterwards
Once we have finished, these simple steps help:
- Let any ice thaw before the engineer arrives
- Note any error code, or take a photo of the display
- Only let an F-Gas qualified engineer work on the refrigerant
If a repair does not make sense, you’ll hear it from us, and explain why. We can quote for a replacement system on the same visit where that’s the better answer.
Use the system sensibly. Choose the right mode and a moderate set temperature, and keep doors and windows closed while it runs, so it is not running flat out all day.

Owner checks or an engineer?
Before you call us about a fault, a few checks can save a visit: check the mode, the set temperature, the remote’s batteries and the breaker. If the breaker trips a second time, leave it off and give us a ring on 07833 053749 or use the quote form.
Write down what you notice: an error code, a new noise, a drip, a smell or a change in how well the system heats or cools. It helps us diagnose quickly, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.
When air con fails in Minster Lovell
About 81% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021 figures. A photo of the outdoor unit and its surroundings tells us what access the visit needs. Listed buildings are part of the picture here: about 29 within half a mile of the centre, such as Cherry Tree Cottage (grade II). If a repair turns into a replacement on a listed building or in a conservation area, we check the planning position before changing the outdoor unit.
When cooling fails at a school like St Kenelm's Church of England (VC) School, we can time non-urgent repair work around lessons. A photo of the error code and the unit’s rating label helps us plan the repair.

Different systems, different jobs
Refrigerant leaks
Topping up without finding the leak only delays the next breakdown, and it releases more refrigerant into the air. We always find and fix the leak first.
Wall-mounted split systems
The single split is the most common system we’re called to. Typical faults include blocked drains, dirty coils and filters, failed fan motors, sensor faults and refrigerant leaks, and most are diagnosed on the first visit.

“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
