Your questions about air conditioning repair in Heyshott
Do you cover Heyshott for emergency air conditioning repairs?
Heyshott is within our area, and the emergency line is open 24/7. Have the make, model and error code ready, and we’ll talk you through what happens next.
Will you come out to Heyshott?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.
Why isn’t my air con cooling?
Common causes are a blocked filter, the wrong mode or set temperature, an outdoor unit that cannot breathe, a failed sensor or board, or low refrigerant from a leak. Check the filter and the settings first, then ring us on 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk if it’s still not cooling.
Why is water dripping from my indoor unit?
Most leaks come from a blocked drain, a failed pump or a unit that has dropped out of level. Ice on the coil from low airflow or low refrigerant can also melt and drip. Turn it off and phone us on 07833 053749.
Will you make a mess?
We put dust sheets over floors and furniture near the work first, and the area is kept tidy throughout. At the end, we clear up and show you what we have done.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes, always. We diagnose before we treat: the survey tells us what the job needs and how to do it and the fixed price is built on it.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. From a single let flat to offices, shops and public buildings, the approach is the same: a look first, a fixed-price quote and written records.
Air conditioning repair in Heyshott
We repair air conditioning on all the main brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. It does not matter who installed it, so tell us the make and model if you know it. The work covers VRF systems, wall-mounted split systems and ceiling cassettes, and people most often call us about a unit that won’t start and frost on the pipework.
We plan the trip to Heyshott so the repair can be finished in one visit where possible, unless a part has to come from the manufacturer.
AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company and NICEIC approved for electrical work, MCS certified for heat pumps and a Checkatrade member. Refrigerant work is done by engineers who hold the F-gas qualifications the law requires.

What you can do yourself, and what needs us
Never try to top up, release or handle refrigerant yourself. The law requires anyone working on equipment containing F gas to hold the right qualifications, and the company to be certified, and refrigerant lines can cause cold burns. If you suspect a leak, switch the system off and call us.
There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves, plants and clutter, check the settings and the remote, and follow the cleaning the manual describes. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.
Common problems we fix in Heyshott
Refrigerant leaks often start at joints: joints, valves and sections of pipe worn by vibration or damage. Coils can corrode and leak too and many leaks are slow enough to go unnoticed for a while.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Weak airflow from the indoor unit
- An error code or flashing light on the unit
- New noises from the system
A unit that keeps tripping or showing the same code is worth a proper diagnosis.
Questions to ask before you book
- Whether the quote shows VAT clearly
- What records you get at the end
- What happens if the job turns out to be different on the day
When it’s something else
Before you book, it helps to know what’s not included:
- An R22 system that has lost its refrigerant
- A power cut or a fault on the incoming supply to the building (that’s for the network operator)
- An old system with obsolete parts
If you’re not sure, just call us on 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Parts of the system we cover
- Multi-split systems
- Ducted systems
- VRF systems
- Heat pumps
- Ceiling cassettes
- Wall-mounted split systems
What we do, step by step
The work area is kept tidy throughout, with sheets down and mess cleared as we go. Any holes, fixings or cable routes are agreed with you before we drill. On site, it takes as long as the fault needs, from a quick fix to a return visit for parts. We plan the trip to Heyshott around you.
- It starts with the symptoms: what the unit is doing, the make and any code on the display.
- The engineer reads the fault codes and checks the electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant circuit.
- You get a plain explanation of the fault and a fixed price for putting it right.
- We repair the fault, and where refrigerant is involved, the leak is found and fixed before recharging.
- Before leaving, we run it through its modes and write up what was found and done.
Preparing for the visit
- Name a contact who can meet us at the agreed time
- Make sure we can reach the outdoor unit, or where it will go
- Keep pets and children away from the work area
Getting a price
Photos are enough for some jobs; others need a visit first. Bigger systems, commercial sites and awkward pipe routes are normally surveyed on site. Either way, you get a fixed price before any work is booked.
