Air conditioning repair for Egypt

Egypt: your questions answered

Is Egypt in your area for air conditioning repair?

Yes. We work across London and the South East from our base in East Grinstead, and Egypt is part of that. Tell us a little about the job and we’ll take it from there.

Who do I call if my air conditioning fails in Egypt out of hours?

Yes: ring the emergency line, day or night, from anywhere in Egypt. A diagnosis call-out starts from £75 + VAT, and knowing the brand and the symptoms helps us plan it.

Is the equipment covered by a warranty?

It’s the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand. For instance, Daikin’s standard warranty on split air conditioning is 2 years, and we explain the terms for whichever brand you choose.

Will skipping a service affect the warranty?

It depends on the manufacturer’s terms. Some warranty terms require the system to be serviced regularly by a qualified engineer, so it’s worth checking. Either way, keep a record of every service.

Why is my air conditioning leaking water?

Most leaks come from a blocked drain, a failed pump or a unit that has dropped out of level. Ice on the coil from low airflow or low refrigerant can also melt and drip. Switch the unit off and give us a ring on 07833 053749 or send an email.

How long will you be on site?

It depends on the job, but as a guide it takes a single visit for many faults, while some repairs need a second visit once parts arrive. We’ll give you a firmer idea when we quote.

Can I fit air conditioning or a heat pump myself?

The refrigerant side has to be done by a qualified engineer working for an F-Gas certified company. That is a legal requirement, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We can quote for the whole job, from supply to commissioning.

About our air conditioning repair in Egypt

When air conditioning stops cooling, leaks water or shows an error code, the symptom rarely tells you the cause. Warm air can mean anything from a dirty filter to a sensor, board or refrigerant fault, so we diagnose before we repair. The work covers ducted systems, heat pumps and ceiling cassettes, and common reasons people get in touch are ice forming on the indoor unit or pipes and a suspected refrigerant leak.

Around Egypt, outdoor units often sit close to gardens and hedges, so leaves, seeds and cobwebs on the coil are worth checking first.

Some warranty terms depend on the system being serviced regularly by a qualified engineer. Where yours does, a regular service with us keeps that side in order, and every service is written up.

Why deal with it now?

A struggling system costs more to run. A dirty coil, a blocked filter or a low refrigerant charge all make the system work harder for less cooling and the extra work wears the parts faster. Planning ahead for a job in Egypt means we can bring everything needed.

What you pay depends on the system and the number of rooms or units, the access and the parts and time the job needs. You get a fixed price before work begins, so you know where you stand.

Let and managed properties

If you look after several properties, we can plan visits across the portfolio and price them together. Each property gets its own records, so each one has its own history.

Larger air conditioning systems in buildings need more than servicing: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We arrange the inspection, get the system ready and put right anything it picks up.

How it works

The work area is kept tidy throughout, with dust sheets down and offcuts and packaging cleared up. Any holes, fixings or cable routes are agreed with you before we drill. On site, it takes a single visit for many faults, while some repairs need a second visit once parts arrive. Photos of the room and the outside of the property help us plan a visit to Egypt.

  1. Describe the problem and the brand, and mention any code on the display.
  2. On the diagnosis visit, we test the electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant.
  3. You get the cause explained and a fixed price for the repair.
  4. With your go-ahead, we carry out the repair, recording any refrigerant work.
  5. We test the system in operation and leave you a note of the fault and the fix.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Give us access to the outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits
  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
  • Tell us about parking and loading

How to get a quote

To get a fixed-price quote, phone 07833 053749 or use the quote form and tell us about the property and what you need. Photos help a lot. You’ll hear back from us the same working day.

Advice

Owner checks or an engineer?

There are a few things you can safely do yourself: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Opening up the units, the electrics and the refrigerant circuit are a job for us.

Don’t move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. Ask us to quote for a move instead.
