Air conditioning in GU30

Our air conditioning service in GU30

Most modern split systems run as heat pumps, so they can heat as well as cool. The Energy Saving Trust notes that air-to-air heat pumps are sometimes referred to as air conditioning, so a well-chosen unit can be useful in winter as well as summer. We are often asked to deal with a room that’s unbearable on warm days and uncertainty over the right type and size of system, across ducted systems, air-to-air heat pumps and multi-split systems.

The visit goes in the diary at a time that works for you, and we let you know if plans need to move. On arrival, the engineer compares the job with the survey, your pictures or the details you gave us. If something is different, we talk it through with you before carrying on. From there, the work takes a day or more, depending on the number of rooms, the pipe routes and the access.

  1. You send pictures, or we visit and survey the rooms and outside.
  2. The system is sized, positions are agreed and the price is fixed.
  3. We protect the area, then fit both halves of the system.
  4. We run and connect the pipes, cable and drain, then pressure test and evacuate the circuit.
  5. We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.

What you’ll pay

Several rooms, units or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at and we’ll price it together.

Why people in GU30 choose us

  • Every job looked at before it’s priced
  • Electrical work covered by our NICEIC approval
  • We work on all the leading brands
  • Enquiries answered the same working day

How to get a quote

Published ranges are a starting point; the quote is built on your property, because no two buildings, rooms or systems are the same. Once we’ve looked at the job, from photos or on a survey, you get a fixed price. To start, ring 07833 053749 or send an email.

Near you in Liphook

Around Liphook, our work takes us to homes and businesses near St Mary's Church Centre, The Green Dragon Public House and Bohunt School and the streets around them. Liphook’s nearest station is Liphook station, roughly 0.5 miles south of the centre. Nearby you’ll also find Chase Community Hospital (3.3 miles north-west). The countryside around Liphook includes Lynchmere Commons and Wheeler's Down.

Air conditioning across GU30

Planning rules are the same across England, GU30 included: an air-to-air system that heats as well as cools can be permitted development on a house, but cooling-only units, listed buildings and outdoor units facing a road in conservation areas need more care.

We’re based in East Grinstead and work across London and the South East, GU30 included. Each job starts with a survey and a fixed-price quote.

Liphook: If you commute from Liphook station and work from home on other days, one wall-mounted unit in the home office is often all that is needed. Living close to St Mary's Church Centre? Some older properties in parts like that are protected, and the survey finds out whether yours is.

Keeping the system healthy

After the visit, a few habits help:

  • Keep the room closed while it runs
  • Keep the indoor unit’s filters clean
  • Avoid setting it far colder than you need
  • Let filters dry fully before you put them back

The filters are the one part you will look after yourself, so we show you how. Clean them every few weeks when the system is in heavy use, or as the manual recommends, and keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves and clutter.

Report drips, noises or error codes early. Water from the indoor unit, a new rattle or a code on the display usually means something needs attention, and early repairs are usually simpler.

What happens if it’s left?

Refrigerant rules have changed what new systems use. Since 2025, new single split systems with less than 3 kg of refrigerant can’t use F gases with a GWP above 750, so new splits use refrigerants such as R32, with a GWP of 675. Older R410A systems have a GWP of 2088.

Comparing quotes

  • Whether they hold F-Gas company certification, not just individual qualifications
  • What the manufacturer’s warranty covers and for how long
  • What paperwork you’ll receive afterwards
  • Whether the quote is a fixed price

What the work involves, system by system

Multi-split systems

Two rooms on a multi-split are typically £2,800–£4,500 + VAT, and three to five rooms £4,500–£8,500 + VAT. The pipe routes to each room make the biggest difference to the price.

Pipework and condensate drains

Between the units run the refrigerant pipes, the control cable and the condensate drain. We agree the route with you before we drill and kept as tidy as the building allows.

Signs you need air conditioning

Loft rooms and top floors tend to suffer most. The roof takes the full force of the sun, and warm air rises from the floors below, which is why a loft bedroom can still be warm at bedtime.

It’s time to call us if you’re dealing with:

  • Rooms under the roof that stay hot into the night
  • A system on old refrigerant that is due for replacement
  • Uncertainty over the right type and size of system
  • Portable units that are noisy and barely cope

Common questions in GU30

When will I hear back?

We reply to enquiries the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for breakdowns that can’t wait. Call 07833 053749 and tell us what’s happened.

Do you protect the property while you work?

We start with protection: sheets over the floor and nearby furniture. Any drilling is agreed with you first, and we clear up the dust and offcuts before we leave.

Which accreditations do you hold?

We hold F-Gas company certification, which the law requires for any business working on refrigerant. NICEIC approval, MCS certification for heat pumps and Checkatrade membership sit alongside it.

How long will the installation take?

It takes a day for most single-room installations, with multi-split, ducted and cassette systems taking longer. We confirm the time when we quote so there are no surprises.

Will I need planning permission?

It can do. Heat pumps and cooling-only units are treated differently, and so are flats, listed buildings and conservation areas. We point out anything that may need permission at the survey, and the council has the final say. This is general information, not legal advice.

Do you look at the job first?

Yes, always. We diagnose before we treat: the survey shows what’s needed, where things go and what access we need and the fixed price is built on it.
