Air Conditioning in Throwley
We cover Throwley for air conditioning installation. Diagnosis first, a fixed price and proper paperwork when we finish.
- Fans and portables that don’t keep up
- Uncertainty over the right type and size of system
- Old electric heaters you’d like to replace with something more efficient
Let and managed properties
If you look after several properties, we can plan visits across the portfolio and price them together. Every address has its own paperwork, so the files stay tidy.
Landlords, letting agents and managing agents book us, not only the people who live or work in the property. Tell us who the contact on site is and who should receive the paperwork, and we will keep everyone informed.
Air conditioning for homes and businesses in Throwley
We fit wall-mounted splits, multi-split systems, ducted systems and ceiling cassettes, with VRF for larger buildings. The right choice depends on the rooms, the building and how visible you want the indoor units to be, and we explain the options on the survey. Air con, air conditioning, a split system: whatever you call it, it’s the job we do every week across Kent.
Villages like Throwley often have older houses and cottages, some of them listed. That matters, because a listed home needs consent and permitted development rules don’t apply to it.
Refrigerant work is written up in the F-Gas records: what was done, the refrigerant type and any amount added or recovered. File them with the system’s paperwork, ready for the next service or a warranty query.

System by system
Wall-mounted split systems
Wall-mounted units suit bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and small commercial rooms. The unit goes where it spreads the air well and the filters are easy to reach rather than blowing straight at the bed or desk.
Ducted systems
Ducted systems need space for the unit and the ductwork plus an access hatch for maintenance. We check that on the survey before recommending one.
Throwley questions
Is Throwley within the area you cover?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day.
Will air conditioning in Throwley need planning permission?
It depends on the property. The half-mile around the middle of Throwley holds about 9 listed buildings and structures. An air-to-air system used for heating as well as cooling can be permitted development on a house if it meets the conditions, but a cooling-only unit isn’t covered, listed buildings need consent and conservation areas restrict outdoor units facing a road. Where needed, we check with the local planning authority (for Throwley, typically Swale council).
Are you F-Gas certified?
We are an F-Gas certified company, with NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps. We are also Checkatrade members.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Not the refrigerant work. The F-gas rules require certified companies and qualified engineers for it, and a new circuit is notifiable under Part P unless a registered electrician, such as a NICEIC approved contractor, does it.
Can you set up regular servicing?
Yes. We offer maintenance contracts, set at the interval the system and the manufacturer’s terms need. Each visit is written up and F-Gas records kept where they apply.
Do you work on all makes?
We install and work on the leading makes, from Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin and Fujitsu to Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Tell us the make and model and we’ll take it from there.
Will you make a mess?
We put dust sheets over floors and furniture near the work first, and we tidy up as we go. Before we leave, we clear up and run through the work with you.
Homes in Throwley and air conditioning
About 44 miles out from central London, Throwley is part of the South East area we work across.
If your home is in one of the older streets near Church of St Michael and All Angels, it’s worth checking whether it’s listed or in a conservation area before an install. Belmont House and Gardens, about 0.6 miles north-west, is one of the historic houses nearby, and if your own home is listed, consent comes before any air conditioning is fixed to it.

What air conditioning won’t do
In fairness, there are a few things this work will not fix:
- An installation that needs consent nobody has given yet
- A ventilation problem rather than a temperature problem
- Damp or condensation caused by leaks or poor ventilation in the building (that needs the cause fixing)
If in doubt, give us a ring on 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier and we will say what we think before you book.

How the visit works
You don’t need to do much on the day. Just let us in and point us to the units, or to where they’ll be fitted, and the rest is down to us. Before we leave, the area is tidied and we explain what we have done. We agree a date with you and plan the visit to Throwley so we arrive with what’s needed.
- First comes a site survey, or pictures and measurements for a straightforward job.
- Each room is sized and you get a fixed-price quote setting out the equipment and the unit positions.
- Brackets go on, the units are hung and the refrigerant lines, cable and drain are routed between them.
- Once the electrics are connected, the pipework is tested for leaks and put under vacuum before any refrigerant flows.
- Last comes the run-up: every mode checked, the controls explained and the paperwork left with you.
Getting ready for the visit
- Clear access to the fuse board
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
- Plan for pets to be kept clear during the visit
Get a fixed-price quote
The quickest way to a quote is to send photos: the room or the existing unit, the outside wall or roof where the outdoor unit sits or would go, and the label on any existing unit. Add the address and what you’d like done, and simple jobs can often be priced without a visit.
Advice
From one of our customers
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
