Space outside is rarely the problem in a place like Brogdale. The questions are more often the age of the walls, the electrics and how far the pipes need to run.
AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company and NICEIC approved for electrical work, MCS certified for heat pumps and a Checkatrade member. Refrigerant work is done by engineers who hold the F-gas qualifications the law requires.

Air conditioning around Brogdale
About 44 miles out from central London, Brogdale is part of the South East area we work across. Roughly a third of a mile or less from central Brogdale, you reach the Whitehill Conservation Area. Draw a one-mile circle round the middle of Brogdale and it takes in 5 conservation areas. On the National Heritage List, around 18 entries fall within 0.5 miles of the middle of Brogdale; The Old Vicarage (grade II*) is one. If your property is listed or sits inside a conservation area, expect us to raise planning at the survey and to speak to Swale council, usually the planning authority here where it’s needed.
Belmont House and Gardens (roughly 2.2 miles south-west) shows the area has its share of heritage. A listed home needs consent before an outdoor unit or pipework goes on.

What we’re called out for in Brogdale
Portable units are often where people start, and why they call us. Portables push their warm air out through a hose in the window, so the window cannot close properly and the noisy part of the unit is in the room. With a split system, the compressor lives outside.
Reasons to give us a call include:
- A loft room or top floor that bakes in summer
- Uncertainty over the right type and size of system
- An old system that needs replacing
If your home is in one of the older streets near Church of St Peter and St Paul, it’s worth checking whether it’s listed or in a conservation area before an install.
What your quote should include
- Whether the price is fixed or an estimate
- Whether testing, commissioning and paperwork are included
- The make and model of any parts or equipment being quoted
Your questions about air conditioning in Brogdale
Will you come out to Brogdale?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.
Do you cover Brogdale for air conditioning?
We do: Brogdale falls inside our working area. Just ring 07833 053749, or email if that’s easier with a few details.
Are you F-Gas certified?
AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company, with NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps. We are also Checkatrade members.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. From one rented home to commercial buildings, we work the same way: survey or diagnosis, a fixed price and proper paperwork.
Who has to arrange F-Gas leak checks?
The operator of the equipment, working with qualified engineers. Larger systems need regular checks: at least every 12 months from 5 tCO2e and every 6 months from 50 tCO2e. We can tell you which band your system falls into.
How much does air conditioning installation cost?
Single-room systems start from £1,200 + VAT and are typically up to £2,200 + VAT. That covers supply, installation, commissioning and the F-Gas paperwork, and we fix it after a survey or from your photos.
Will you work on another installer’s system?
Yes. We start with a proper look and tell you honestly what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. You get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
When it’s something else
Some problems need a different service or another trade:
- Central heating repairs
- A room that cannot take an outdoor unit or pipe route without the landlord’s, management company’s or council’s consent (that consent comes first)
- Heat loss through very poor insulation (a system will heat the room, but insulation is a separate job)
If in doubt, ring us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we’ll say what we think.
What the work covers
- Multi-split systems
- Ducted systems
- Air-to-air heat pumps
- Wall-mounted split systems
- Ceiling cassettes
- VRF systems
The process
Refrigerant work is done by qualified engineers working for an F-Gas certified company, and electrical work is done by us as NICEIC approved contractors. So on the day, you do not need a separate electrician for the electrical side. The work takes a day for most single-room installations, with multi-split, ducted and cassette systems taking longer. Pictures of the space and where the outdoor unit could go let us plan the work in Brogdale.
- We survey the property, or work from your photos for a simple job.
- Each room is sized and the unit positions agreed, then you get a fixed-price quote.
- We protect the area, then fit both halves of the system.
- Connections are made, checked for leaks and pulled down to a vacuum.
- We commission, show you the controls and leave the F-Gas and warranty paperwork.
How to prepare
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area
- Keep pets out of the rooms we’re working in
Getting a price
Getting a quote is straightforward. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day. Where a survey is needed, we arrange a time that suits you.
Advice
Managing agents and facilities teams in Brogdale
Bigger systems bring extra duties: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We arrange the inspection, get the system ready and put right anything it picks up.
Running several properties is easier with one contractor. Our area covers Greater London and the South East, so work at different addresses can be planned together and kept on a regular cycle.
A customer’s words
“Very professional from the initial survey through to installation. The engineer explained everything clearly and the quote was exactly what we paid. Would not hesitate to recommend AirCon Doctor.”
