About our air conditioning servicing in West Bergholt
Every hour, an indoor unit draws the room’s air through its filter and over its coil again and again. Dust, fluff and anything else in the air ends up on those parts. Servicing removes it, letting air pass through the unit properly and the condensate drain away. The work covers ducted systems, wall-mounted split systems and ceiling cassettes, and people most often call us about systems that need a 6 or 12-monthly leak check and no service record for the last year or more.
For most homes near West Bergholt, a service once a year keeps the system efficient and the filters clean, and regular servicing can be a condition of some manufacturers’ warranties.
For a fault on a system that may still be under warranty, send us the make, model and installation date. We will tell you how the manufacturer’s warranty is likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Leave it or put it right?
A blocked condensate drain typically gets worse rather than better. What starts as a damp patch under the indoor unit can become water running down the wall, which is easily avoided by clearing the drain on a service. An early booking makes the visit to West Bergholt easier to arrange.
A single unit or a whole estate, the quote is built the same way: what needs doing, how we get to it and what it needs. You will have a fixed price before any work starts, and the quote sets out the VAT.

What happens on the day
The first job on site is protection: dust sheets over floors and furniture near the work, and we ask before moving anything. Then the electrics are made safe and the work begins. It takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit, and we tidy up before we leave. Send pictures of the space and the outside wall, and we can plan the work near West Bergholt.
- First, we agree a time and confirm the cost of the service.
- Before any cleaning, the system is run so we can see how it behaves.
- We clean the filters, coils and fans and clear the condensate drain.
- We check the wiring, controls and refrigerant circuit, and leak check systems that need it.
- We run the system again and leave you a service record.
Preparing for the visit
- Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
- Find the manual or the paperwork for the system, if you have it
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need

Common questions in West Bergholt
Do you cover smaller places like West Bergholt?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Send a few details and pictures, and we reply the same working day.
How often do you service systems in West Bergholt?
For most homes, once a year. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.
How soon will you get back to me?
The same working day. Then we agree a date that works for you, and you get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
Can you set up regular servicing?
Yes. Tell us what you have and how it’s used, and we’ll suggest a schedule with a fixed price. That can include the leak checks the F-gas rules require for larger systems.
What does F-Gas certified mean?
Anyone installing, repairing or servicing the refrigerant side must be qualified, and their company certified. It’s worth checking before booking, and we are happy to show ours.
Can I do any of the installation myself?
Not the refrigerant work. Under the F-gas rules, it must be done by qualified engineers from a certified company, and a new circuit is notifiable under Part P unless a registered electrician, such as a NICEIC approved contractor, does it.
Can I have a maintenance contract for my air conditioning?
Yes, and the schedule is set around your system. We agree the cost up front, and each visit is recorded.
Owner checks or an engineer?
Do not move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrics need care too. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.
Keep a note of anything odd: error codes, noises, drips, smells or a drop in performance. It helps us diagnose quickly, and a photo of the display helps even more.
Air conditioning servicing around West Bergholt
About 83% of households live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021 figures. If the outdoor unit is high up or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book. On the National Heritage List, around 12 entries fall within 0.5 miles of the middle of West Bergholt; Church of St Mary (grade I) is one. Swapping an outdoor unit on a listed building or in a conservation area may need consent, so we’ll flag it if a replacement is needed.
Booking before the first hot spell means the system is ready when you need it. If you look after a school such as St Helena School, servicing is easiest in the holidays.

From one of our customers
“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
