How we price air conditioning servicing

Your quote is based on your property. We consider:

  • A single visit or a regular plan
  • The size of the job
  • The pipe route between the units

Every job is different, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all play a part.

Helping us quote

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote. With your enquiry, please include:

  • A close-up of the unit’s label showing the model number
  • Photos showing the indoor unit and the space around it
  • The outside wall, roof or yard where the outdoor unit sits or would go

Every quote starts with a look at the job, either on a site survey or, for simple jobs, from your photos and details. After that, we send a fixed price before any work starts.

Air conditioning servicing in Virginia Water

For an annual service, the price is £95–£150 + VAT, and we confirm the figure before we book you in. Multi-split, ducted and commercial systems are priced once we know what’s there. Either way, you know the cost before the engineer arrives. Common call-outs are for water dripping from the indoor unit and weaker cooling than last year, across VRF systems, air-to-air heat pumps and wall-mounted split systems.

A service around Virginia Water is booked to suit you, and a single system typically takes an hour or two.

Aftercare is simple, and most of it is in the manual: keep the outdoor unit clear, follow the manufacturer’s guidance on cleaning and book a service at the interval they recommend. That also helps where the warranty terms ask for regular servicing.

Virginia Water questions

Do you cover smaller places like Virginia Water?

Yes, and the size of the place makes no difference to how we work. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Does my air con in Virginia Water need a yearly service?

For most homes, once a year. Larger systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more also need a leak check at least every 12 months under the F-gas rules.

How much time does an air con service need?

The visit takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system. Any repair found on the day is priced and agreed before it’s done, so phone us on 07833 053749 or email us to arrange a time.

Is an F-gas leak check a legal requirement for my system?

Only if the system is at or above the threshold of 5 tCO2e. Plenty of small splits sit under it, as 3 kg of R32 works out at about 2.0 tCO2e. We read the charge from the label and work it out for you.

Can I fit air conditioning or a heat pump myself?

Anything that involves the refrigerant needs an F-Gas qualified engineer from a certified company. That’s the law, not just our preference, and it also matters for the manufacturer’s warranty. We are happy to quote for the full job, supply to commissioning.

Which brands do you work with?

We work with the leading brands, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. Send us the make and model if you have it.

Are you F-Gas certified?

F-Gas company certification, NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps, plus Checkatrade membership. Engineers who handle refrigerant hold their own F-gas qualifications as well.

How the job changes from property to property

Filters

The filter is the first line of defence for the indoor unit. We clean them and check for damage, and if a filter is past its best we tell you.

Refrigerant performance and leak checks

F-gas leak checks are required for systems from 5 tCO2e upwards: at least every 12 months from 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 to under 500 tCO2e. Hermetically sealed equipment holding less than 10 tCO2e does not need them.

Safe owner checks

Owners can handle the everyday basics: keeping the outdoor unit clear, checking the mode and set temperature, and the routine cleaning in the manual. Anything inside the units, the electrics and the refrigerant is engineer’s work.

Write down what you notice: an error code, a new noise, a drip, a smell or a change in how well the system heats or cools. It makes our diagnosis quicker, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.

What happens on the day

If the system has to be off for part of the visit, we tell you before work begins so it doesn’t catch you out. In a business, work can often be done one area at a time. On site, it takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. We plan the visit to Virginia Water from the survey or your photos.

  1. It begins with a few questions about the make, the rooms served and any symptoms.
  2. Inside, the filters, coil and drain tray of each indoor unit are cleaned.
  3. The outdoor unit is cleaned and checked, and debris cleared from around it.
  4. Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are tested.
  5. If a repair is needed, you hear why and what it costs before anything is done.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know where the consumer unit is
  • Mention any parking restrictions near the property
  • Mention any roof access, ladders or high-level work
