What affects the quote in Ugley Green
Typical ranges are on our prices page, and your quote is built on your job. The quote depends on:
- Access, including height, roofs and ladders
- Whether it’s a simple split or a larger system
- The equipment or parts the job needs
The cost depends on the type of system and how many units are involved, how easy the units are to reach and the parts and time the job needs. We give you a fixed price before work begins, so there are no surprises.
Asking for a quote
A few details help us quote accurately. With your enquiry, please include:
- The remote or wall controller showing any error
- Photos showing the indoor unit and the space around it
- Your installation or service records
Here’s what helps us quote: the address and the type of property, pictures of the rooms or units, the make and model of any existing system and anything you’ve noticed, such as an error code or a noise. Then ring us on 07833 053749 or send an email.
How we handle air conditioning servicing in Ugley Green
A service is as much a check-up as a clean. The engineer checks fans, pipe insulation, controls and electrical connections, then explains anything that looks like it could cause a problem later. Common call-outs are for a unit showing a fault code and a system that struggles to cool on warm days, across ducted systems, VRF systems and multi-split systems.
We plan the trip to Ugley Green and can service more than one unit in one visit, which keeps it simple.
Any work on the refrigerant circuit is recorded: the work carried out, the refrigerant involved and the quantities. File them with the system’s paperwork, as a manufacturer or a future engineer may ask to see them.

Ugley Green questions
How often should air conditioning in Ugley Green be serviced?
For most homes, once a year. Larger systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more also need a leak check at least every 12 months under the F-gas rules.
Can you do air conditioning servicing in Ugley Green?
Yes. Ugley Green is one of the places we cover. Just ring 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form with a few details.
Will servicing keep my manufacturer’s warranty valid?
The warranty comes from the manufacturer, on its own terms. Read the conditions for your brand, as they may include servicing and file every service record.
What does F-Gas certified mean?
Anyone installing, repairing or servicing the refrigerant side must be qualified, and their company certified. It’s worth checking before you book, and we’re happy to show ours.
What accreditations do you have?
AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We are also Checkatrade members.
Will you work on another installer’s system?
Yes. We look at it first and tell you what we find, including any issues with how it was fitted. You get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.
Do you offer air conditioning maintenance contracts?
Yes, with visits planned to suit how hard the system works. The price is fixed with your quote and you get a record after every visit.

Rented and managed buildings
Bigger systems bring extra duties: systems with an effective rated output over 12 kW need a TM44 inspection by an accredited energy assessor at least every 5 years. We arrange the inspection, get the system ready and put right anything it picks up.
Facilities teams in offices, schools and public buildings book us too across Essex. Work can be phased by floor, zone or building around the people who use them.
What happens on the day
Testing is the last part of the visit wherever the system can be switched on. Then we explain what was done and answer your questions, and anything that needs attention later is pointed out. The visit takes an hour or two for most homes, and longer where there are several indoor units or a ducted system. Somewhere like Ugley Green, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- When you book, we ask what make it is, how many rooms it serves and whether anything seems wrong.
- We run the system first and see how it’s performing.
- We clean the filters and coils and make sure the condensate drains away.
- Temperatures and pressures tell us how the refrigerant circuit is doing, alongside checks on the wiring and controls.
- We leave you a record of the service and explain anything we found.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any roof access, ladders or high-level work
- Tell us about any building rules, permits or sign-in
- Make sure someone can let us in at the agreed time

Refrigerant performance and leak checks
F-gas leak checks are required for systems from 5 tCO2e upwards: at least every 12 months from 5 to under 50 tCO2e, and every 6 months from 50 to under 500 tCO2e. Hermetically sealed systems under 10 tCO2e are exempt.
Condensate drains and pumps
When the system cools, every indoor unit makes water. We clean the drain tray and clear the pipe so the water has a clear path out.
