Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Newington
A manufacturer’s warranty can come with conditions, and regular servicing may be one of them. The terms differ from brand to brand, so it’s worth reading yours and we are happy to go through them with you. Our service record shows the work was done. The work covers multi-split systems, VRF systems and ducted systems, and common reasons people get in touch are systems that haven’t been serviced for a while and F-gas leak checks falling due.
For a home in or near Newington, a service once a year suits most systems, best done before summer.
Some warranty terms depend on the system being serviced regularly by a qualified engineer. If that applies to your system, booking the service on time keeps the record straight, and every service is written up.

Newington: your questions answered
How often do you service systems in Newington?
A yearly visit is right for most households. Larger systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more also need a leak check at least every 12 months under the F-gas rules.
Will you come out to Newington?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. We are based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes. For simple jobs, pictures and a few details can be enough, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.
How soon will you get back to me?
On the same working day you contact us. Then we agree a date that works for you, with a fixed price before work starts.
How long will the engineer be here for the service?
The visit takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit. If we find something that needs repairing, we explain it and price it before doing anything else, and you can phone us on 07833 053749 or fill in the contact form to book.
Do you work on all makes?
The main ones, including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi. For a new system, we suggest the make and model that suit the property and tell you why.
Is an F-gas leak check a legal requirement for my system?
The requirement starts at 5 tCO2e. Many small split systems fall below it: 3 kg of R32, for instance, is about 2.0 tCO2e. We read the charge from the label and work it out for you.
What happens if it’s left?
A dirty filter or coil makes the system work harder for the same result. A service puts that right with a clean, and it means the system is not straining through the summer. Waiting rarely makes an air conditioning problem smaller.
Every job is different, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The system, the access, the pipe routes and the parts involved all make a difference.

If a repair turns into a replacement on a listed building or in a conservation area, we check the planning position before changing the outdoor unit.
A service once a year suits most home systems, and some business systems need more. Dust on the filters and coil makes the system work harder for the same result.

How it works
Wherever the system can be run before we leave, we run it and check it in operation. Then we explain what was done and answer your questions, and anything that needs attention later is pointed out. All told, the work takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. Visits to Newington are agreed with you in advance and planned so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
- You tell us the brand, the number of indoor units and any symptoms.
- The indoor units are opened up and the filters, coils and drain trays cleaned.
- The outdoor unit gets its own clean, with leaves and debris cleared away.
- Readings are taken on the electrics and refrigerant circuit, and the controls are tried in each mode.
- Anything we find is explained, with a fixed price if it needs a repair.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear a path to the units and the space around them
- Let us know where the consumer unit is
- Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
