Air conditioning servicing in Framfield
Maintenance contracts suit anyone who would rather not have to remember when the next service is due. The visits, the scope and the cost are fixed with your quote, so the system is looked after on a regular schedule. The work covers ducted systems, air-to-air heat pumps and multi-split systems, and the jobs we see most are an unpleasant odour when the system runs and drips or damp patches below an indoor unit.
Around Framfield, outdoor units sit close to gardens and greenery, where seeds and leaves collect on the coil. A yearly service clears them.
Warranty periods vary by brand and by product. For example, Daikin’s standard warranty on split air conditioning is 2 years, and its longer extensions apply to its air-to-water units only. For any other brand, we explain the manufacturer’s terms on your quote.

How the visit works
If the system has to be off for part of the visit, we tell you before we start, so you can plan around it. In a business, work can often be done one area at a time. On site, it takes an hour or so for a single wall-mounted unit, longer for a multi-split system. Photos of the room and the outside of the property help us plan a visit to Framfield.
- We start with the basics, such as the brand, the number of indoor units and any symptoms.
- The system is run and checked before anything is opened up.
- Filters are cleaned, coils treated and the drain tray and pipe cleared.
- We check the electrics, the controls and how the refrigerant circuit is performing, and carry out a leak check where the rules call for it.
- We leave you a record of the service and explain anything we found.

Getting a quote
Every quote shows the VAT clearly, with the rate that applies to your job. Homes, businesses and different kinds of work can be treated differently for VAT, so we confirm it on the quote. For a fixed-price quote, phone 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk.
Advice
Leave it or put it right?
When air can’t get through the unit easily, the system has to run longer to get there. Cleaning them is a small job and lets the system run as it was designed to. Dealing with it now is typically simpler than a breakdown later.
Several rooms, units or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Mention every unit or room you need covered and we will price it together.

Safe owner checks
Owner care supports servicing; it doesn’t replace it. Clean filters and a clear outdoor unit help the system run as it should, but the refrigerant circuit, the electrics and the parts you can’t see still need an engineer at the interval the manufacturer recommends.
Leave the units and pipework where they are. Moving a unit involves the refrigerant circuit, so it needs an F-Gas qualified engineer, and the electrical side needs a competent person. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.
Your questions about air conditioning servicing in Framfield
How often should air conditioning in Framfield be serviced?
Normally once a year for homes, more often for busy business systems. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.
Do you cover smaller places like Framfield?
We do. Villages and hamlets get the same service as the bigger towns. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Do you have a 24/7 line?
Yes, day and night. When you call, tell us the make, what’s happening and any error code, and we’ll talk you through the next steps.
Do you look at the job first?
Yes. For simple jobs, pictures and a few details can be enough, while larger systems and faults that need testing are seen on site.
Why does F-Gas certification matter?
For refrigerant work, both the engineer and the company need the right F-gas credentials. It’s worth checking before booking, and we’re happy to show ours.
How long does an air conditioning service take?
As a guide, it takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit. Units that are hard to reach can take longer and we’ll let you know before the visit.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Send details of the systems and how they’re used and we’ll propose a schedule and quote for it. Leak checks required by the F-gas rules can be built in for larger systems.

What air conditioning will not do
Not every problem is solved by air conditioning servicing, and we will tell you before work begins. It won’t put right:
- A refrigerant leak, which needs finding and repairing, not topping up
- Pipework or drainage that was badly installed in the first place
- Heat from large windows, roof spaces or equipment beyond the system’s capacity

From one of our customers
“Office air con broke down in the July heatwave. Called at 8am, engineer was here by noon and fixed within 2 hours. Brilliant emergency response. They now hold the service contract for the whole building.”
