Air con servicing in Arlington
F-Gas certified and NICEIC approved, we cover Arlington for air conditioning servicing. A fixed price before work begins, and a 24/7 emergency line.
- Iced-up coils or pipework
- Condensate leaking into the room
- Error codes or flashing lights on the indoor unit
How it works
Think of the visit in three stages: look, put right and sign off. First we check the system or the space against the plan, then the work itself, and finally everything is tested, recorded and explained. Most of the time goes on the middle part, and that takes anything from an hour for a simple split system to most of a day for a larger installation. Somewhere like Arlington, it helps to know about lanes, gates and where to park.
- We ask about the system: the make, the number of indoor units and any problems you’ve noticed.
- On arrival, a quick performance check shows how well it’s working before the clean.
- We clean the filters and coils and make sure the condensate drains away.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are checked, with an F-gas leak check where the system requires one.
- A service record follows, with any faults and the options for fixing them.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas
- Clear a path to the units and the space around them
- Unlock any gate, garage or side passage we need

Advice
About our air conditioning servicing in Arlington
A manufacturer’s warranty can come with conditions, and regular servicing may be one of them. The terms differ from brand to brand, so it’s worth reading yours and we’re happy to go through them with you. You get a record of each service to keep with the warranty paperwork. The work covers air-to-air heat pumps, VRF systems and ducted systems, and common reasons people get in touch are F-gas leak checks falling due and a service that’s overdue.
For a home in or near Arlington, a service once a year suits most systems, ideally in spring before the warm weather.
Some warranty terms depend on the system being serviced regularly by a qualified engineer. Where yours does, a regular service with us keeps that side in order and each visit is recorded.

Your questions about air conditioning servicing in Arlington
Does my air con in Arlington need a yearly service?
Usually once a year for homes, more often for busy business systems. Check your manufacturer’s warranty terms too, as some of them make regular servicing a condition.
Can you do air conditioning servicing in Arlington?
We do: Arlington falls inside our working area. To start, phone us on 07833 053749 or write to us at info@aircondoctor.co.uk with a few photos.
Which accreditations do you hold?
AirCon Doctor is an F-Gas certified company, NICEIC approved for electrical work and MCS certified for heat pumps. We’re also Checkatrade members.
What does F-Gas certified mean?
Certification shows a business is approved to work on systems that hold F gas refrigerant. That is not optional: it’s required by law, and AirCon Doctor is certified.
Can I have a maintenance contract for my air conditioning?
We do, for one unit at home or many across a site. We fix the schedule, the scope and the cost with your quote and the servicing happens on time.
Will you make a mess?
Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets before work begins, and the area is kept tidy throughout. Before we leave, we clear up and run through the work with you.
When is an F-gas leak check required?
It depends on the system’s tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e). From 5 to under 50 tCO2e, leak checks are required at least every 12 months, and from 50 to under 500 tCO2e every 6 months. Hermetically sealed systems holding less than 10 tCO2e do not need them.
Why deal with it now?
A dirty filter or coil makes the system work harder for the same result. A service puts that right with a clean and lets the system run as it was designed to. Small faults tend to grow, so it’s worth dealing with them early.
Typical ranges are on our prices page, but each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed-price quote, give us a ring on 07833 053749, and we’ll talk you through it.

Different systems, different jobs
Wall-mounted, ducted and cassette units
Cassette units are set into the ceiling and blow air in several directions. We drop the grille to clean the filters and check the condensate pump.
Maintenance contracts
We tailor the schedule to how hard the system works, rather than a one-size plan.
Aftercare tips
Once we have finished, these simple steps help:
- Clean the filters between services, as the manual describes
- Make sure the condensate outlet can drain
- Keep the service records with the warranty paperwork
For systems that need them, the leak check and its result go on record and the next one falls due within 6 or 12 months, depending on the system. We can diary it for you.
Cleaning the filters between services helps a great deal. On many wall-mounted units, the filters lift out easily and the user manual explains how often.
Air conditioning servicing around Arlington
The middle of Arlington is part of the Arlington Conservation Area. The Parish Church of St Pancras, listed at grade I, is one of roughly 8 protected buildings and structures in the half-mile around Arlington’s centre. For most visits that makes no difference. It only comes up when an outdoor unit has to be replaced on a protected building. The last census (2021) found about 71% of households in detached or semi-detached houses. Let us know where the outdoor unit sits and whether a ladder is needed to reach it.
If you can’t remember the last service, it’s probably due. Clean filters and coils help a system cool better and use less electricity.
