Air conditioning repair in Edenbridge

About our air conditioning repair in Edenbridge

Across Edenbridge, every repair begins with a diagnosis: the engineer reads the fault codes and checks the electrics, the airflow, the condensate drain and the refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Then we explain what’s wrong and give you a fixed price to put it right. The work covers multi-split systems, ducted systems and ceiling cassettes, and common reasons people get in touch are drips from the indoor unit and a noisy indoor or outdoor unit.

In a place like Edenbridge, outdoor units can be close to hedges and gardens, where leaves and cuttings can clog the coil and cut the cooling. That’s one of the first things we check.

The records are your system’s health record: what was fitted or found, what was done and when. It makes the next visit quicker and any warranty question simpler and it’s worth keeping safe.

What air conditioning will not do

To be straight with you, there are a few things this work won’t fix:

  • A room that overheats because of the building, such as a lack of shading or ventilation (the system may need help, not a repair)
  • A unit whose parts are no longer made (replacement may be the only option)
  • A unit that was never big enough for the room

If in doubt, ring us on 07833 053749 or drop us a line and we’ll say what we think.

What the work covers

  • VRF systems
  • Wall-mounted split systems
  • Heat pumps
  • Multi-split systems
  • Ceiling cassettes
  • Ducted systems

Edenbridge: your questions answered

Can you do air conditioning repair in Edenbridge?

Yes, Edenbridge is within the area we cover. Tell us a little about the job and we will take it from there.

Is Edenbridge within the area you cover?

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

Does servicing affect my warranty?

It depends on the manufacturer’s terms. Some manufacturers make regular servicing by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so it’s worth checking. Either way, keep a record of every service.

Why is my air conditioning icing up?

When airflow drops or refrigerant is lost, the coil gets cold enough to ice. A dirty filter is worth checking first and if that is not it, we will find the cause.

How soon will you get back to me?

You will hear from us the same working day. If it’s an emergency, ring the 24/7 line instead.

Are you F-Gas certified?

F-Gas company certification, NICEIC approval for electrical work and MCS certification for heat pumps, plus Checkatrade membership. Engineers who handle refrigerant hold their own F-gas qualifications as well.

Do you survey before quoting?

Yes, always. Diagnosis comes before treatment: the survey shows what’s needed, where things go and what access we need and the fixed price is built on it.

What happens on the day

Our engineers arrive at the time agreed with you and check the plan with you first. Floors and furniture near the work are covered with dust sheets, and the electrics are made safe before any panel comes off. The work itself takes an hour or two to diagnose most faults, with the repair time depending on what we find. We load the van from the survey notes so the work in Edenbridge can be done in one go where possible.

  1. First, a few questions by phone or email about the brand, the fault and anything shown on the controller.
  2. The engineer reads the fault codes and checks the electrics, airflow, drain and refrigerant circuit.
  3. You get a plain explanation of the fault and a fixed price for putting it right.
  4. The fix goes in, with any refrigerant work tested and written into the F-Gas records.
  5. Finally the system is tested in operation and you get a note of the fault and the fix.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure someone can let us in at the agreed time
  • Let us know where we can park and unload
  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, high walls or locked plant areas

Getting a quote

The quickest way to a quote is to send pictures: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and many jobs can be priced from that.

What you can do yourself, and what needs us

Don’t move, re-route or disconnect units or pipework yourself. Disconnecting a system means dealing with refrigerant, which only a qualified engineer can do, and the electrical side needs a competent person. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.

For air conditioning, cleaning the indoor unit’s filters is the main job owners can do where the manufacturer’s manual explains how. With the power off, they lift out, can be vacuumed or rinsed and must be fully dry before they go back. On a heat pump, the equivalent is keeping the outdoor unit clear and checking the controls.

What affects the cost of air conditioning repair

Our prices page gives typical ranges, and your quote is built on your job. The quote depends on:

  • The pipe route between the units
  • A single visit or a regular plan
  • The number of rooms, units or zones

No two properties are the same, so each one gets its own fixed-price quote. The equipment, how we reach it, the route between units and the work needed all make a difference.

Helping us quote

Before you ask for a quote, gather:

  • Wide photos of the room or the existing unit
  • The remote or wall controller showing any error
  • Where the outdoor unit is, or where you’d like it

Want a quote for air conditioning repair? Please phone 07833 053749 or send an email with a few details about the property. We’ll explain what we’d recommend and why, then send a fixed-price quote before you commit to anything.
