Air conditioning servicing for homes and businesses in Woodland

An air conditioning service is a check and clean of the whole system, indoor and outdoor units together. Filters and coils are cleaned, the drain is cleared, and the electrics, controls and refrigerant performance are all checked. We service systems in Woodland and across Kent, whatever the make. The work covers VRF systems, ducted systems and wall-mounted split systems, and the jobs we see most are noisy fans or rattling from the outdoor unit and water dripping from the indoor unit.

Most systems around Woodland need servicing once a year, ideally in spring before the warm weather.

The records are your system’s health record: what was fitted or found, what was done and when. It makes the next visit quicker and any warranty question simpler and it’s worth keeping safe.

Woodland questions

Does my air con in Woodland need a yearly service?

Once a year suits most home systems. Business systems may also need F-gas leak checks, at least every 12 months from 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent.

Will you come out to Woodland?

Yes. Woodland is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Visits to smaller places are planned so the engineer arrives with what the job needs.

How quickly will you reply?

The same working day. Then we agree a date that works for you, and you get a fixed price before any work goes ahead.

Do you offer emergency call-outs?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for breakdowns that cannot wait. Call 07833 053749 and tell us what’s happened.

Can you set up regular servicing?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are part of what we do, with visits at the interval your system and the manufacturer need. Each visit is written up, with F-Gas records where refrigerant work is involved.

Can I do any of the installation myself?

Not the refrigerant work. The F-gas rules require certified companies and qualified engineers for it, and a new electrical circuit is notifiable building work unless a registered competent person does it.

Why use an F-Gas certified company?

The law says any company working on equipment containing F gas has to be certified, and the engineers need their own qualifications. It means the refrigerant in your system is handled legally.

What you can do yourself, and what needs us

Keep a note of anything odd: an error code, a new noise, a drip, a smell or a change in how well the system heats or cools. It helps us diagnose quickly, and a photo or a short video of the display is even better.

Leave the units and pipework where they are. Disconnecting a system means dealing with refrigerant, which only a qualified engineer can do, and the electrics need care too. If you need something moved, we can quote for it.

The process

There’s very little for you to do on the day. Someone needs to let us in and show us the units, or where they’re going, and we take it from there. At the end, we tidy up and run through the work with you. Pictures of the space and where the outdoor unit could go let us plan the work in Woodland.

  1. You tell us the brand, the number of indoor units and any symptoms.
  2. Inside, the filters, coil and drain tray of each indoor unit are cleaned.
  3. The outdoor unit gets its own clean, with leaves and debris cleared away.
  4. We test the electrics, the controls and how the refrigerant circuit is performing.
  5. Anything we find is explained, with a fixed price if it needs a repair.

Before we arrive

  • Have the make and model of any existing unit to hand
  • Arrange for someone to be there to let us in
  • Clear access to the fuse board

Leave it or put it right?

Servicing is planned, priced and booked at a time that suits you. A fault picks its own moment, so a planned visit is the easier option. A dirty or faulty system works harder and costs more to run.

Our prices page shows typical ranges, but your price depends on the job in front of us. For a fixed-price quote, give us a ring on 07833 053749 or email us, and we will explain what it covers.

How the job changes from property to property

Condensate drains and pumps

Slime and debris build up in drain trays over time. Cleaning them helps with drips and with musty smells.

Refrigerant performance and leak checks

To find tCO2e, multiply the kg of refrigerant by its GWP and divide by 1,000. So 3 kg of R32 is roughly 2.0 tCO2e, and the same amount of R410A is roughly 6.3 tCO2e. We check the label on your system and tell you where it sits.

A customer’s words

“Excellent service from start to finish. Two wall-mounted units installed in our home. Clean, tidy work: they protected all the floors and left no mess. The systems work brilliantly. Would highly recommend.”
