About our air conditioning servicing in Egerton Forstal
A service is not the same as a regas. Refrigerant runs in a sealed circuit and shouldn’t need adding to. Where the checks suggest gas has been lost, the right step is to find the leak, and we’ll set out how. The work covers air-to-air heat pumps, ducted systems and VRF systems, and people most often call us about humming, rattling or squealing from the system and a system that struggles to cool on warm days.
Most systems around Egerton Forstal need servicing once a year, best done before summer.
For a fault on a system that may still be under warranty, send us the make, model and installation date. We’ll explain how the manufacturer’s terms are likely to apply before any chargeable work goes ahead.

Fixed-price quotes for air conditioning servicing in Egerton Forstal
You will get a fixed price before any work starts. It’s based on:
- The size of the job
- What electrical work the job needs
- Which make and model is being fitted or worked on
Several rooms, units or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at and we’ll price it together.
Before you get in touch
You do not need the technical terms. Just send:
- A short video of any fault, such as a noise or a flashing light
- Any previous service or F-Gas records
- A few pictures of the room and the wall the unit is on, or will go on
Photos are the fastest route to a quote: the inside and outside of the property where the work is, plus the rating plate of any unit already there. Add the address and what you’d like done, and many jobs can be priced from that.

The process
Think of the visit in three stages: diagnose, treat and sign off. First we check the system or the space against the plan, then the work itself, and finally we test, record and explain. The middle part takes longest, which takes around an hour for one indoor and one outdoor unit, with extra time for each additional indoor unit. Photos of the existing unit help with repairs and servicing in Egerton Forstal.
- It begins with a few questions about the make, the rooms served and any symptoms.
- The indoor units are opened up and the filters, coils and drain trays cleaned.
- The outdoor unit is cleaned and checked, and debris cleared from around it.
- Electrical connections, controls and refrigerant performance are tested.
- We explain what we found and price any repair before it’s done.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children away from the work area
- Make sure we can reach the outdoor unit, or where it will go
- Let us know if the units are on a roof, a high wall or in a locked area

Some jobs can be priced from photos, while others need a survey. Bigger systems, commercial sites and awkward pipe routes are normally surveyed on site. Either way, the quote is fixed before anything goes ahead.

What the work involves, system by system
Indoor and outdoor coils
The indoor coil is where the air is cooled or warmed. Cleaning removes the dust that coats the fins and any damage is noted.
Filters
Some systems have extra filters for fine dust or odours. We check these as well and explain what the manufacturer recommends.
FAQs for Egerton Forstal
Do you cover smaller places like Egerton Forstal?
Yes. Egerton Forstal is within the area we cover across London and the South East. We’re based in East Grinstead and plan each visit so the job can be finished in one trip where possible.
Can you do air conditioning servicing in Egerton Forstal?
We do: Egerton Forstal falls inside our working area. Tell us a little about the job and we’ll take it from there.
Do you have a 24/7 line?
Yes. Our emergency line runs 24/7 for breakdowns that can’t wait. Ring 07833 053749 any time and explain the problem.
Can I have a maintenance contract for my air conditioning?
Yes, and the schedule is set around your system. We agree the cost up front, and each visit is recorded.
What does an annual air con service cost?
From £95 to £150 + VAT for the annual service, confirmed before we book. If the service finds a fault, we price the repair separately and only go ahead if you agree.
Will you regas my air conditioning on a service?
A service doesn’t include adding refrigerant. The refrigerant circuit is sealed, so a system that is short of gas has a leak. Where the checks point to a leak, we explain the options for finding and fixing it.
What accreditations do you have?
We hold F-Gas company certification, which the law requires for any business working on refrigerant. NICEIC approval, MCS certification for heat pumps and Checkatrade membership sit alongside it.
